Notations 21 + Blog
Notations 21 is an exciting new publication of a large number of graphic scores by many of today's most innovative composers. Works range from versions of staff notation to the extremely abstract. This is a wonderful testament to the creative spirit, where the scores are limited only by imagination.I would hope that this publication will be used as a teaching tool to introduce aspiring composers to the breadth of notation. To assist them in challenging performers to play music and not just read it. While also trusting performers to be as creative as the composer.
Author Theresa Sauer also has a blog related to teh publication and included composers.
