Klang Rehearsals
musikFabrik will present Klang in its entirety next month. Though the cycle is composed of pieces written for every hour of the day, they don't quite lend themselves to a sequential performance marathon. For example, Natural Durations, the music for the 3rd hour of the day, lasts 120 minutes. musikFabrik's solution to this problem is to create a two-day festival of performances at multiple venues within walking distance of each other. The audience can hear the entire cycle choose-your-own-adventure-style.The following clip is a rehearsal of Glanz, the 10th hour:
