One of Giacinto Scelsi's middle works, his ninth piano suite, "Ttai" (1953), based on the mantra "Om", meaning "universe"; its form is comprised of both allusion to the repetitious aspects of Eastern chanting, and of his own extrapolation on the word's meaning. |
